Week 3... Letter Bb

Things to get excited about?  The lettuce we planted is starting to grow!!!  It was so exciting to peek at our garden box and see those tiny plants popping out of the ground!

We worked on our cutting skills with "Go Away Big Green Monster" by Ed Emberley.  It was fun to recreate that face again and again!

We also got to celebrate with Aria... As she brought in yummy birthday treats!!

This week we are welcoming the sun,  and the warmth it can bring in these sometimes chilly Fall days.

And... Appreciating the wonderful messiness the rain has left behind for us to play in!!!

We built our very own watercolor Boa Constrictor after Shel Silversteins poem... One of our favorites!!

And that folks was our b-b-b busy week!!!

Week of 9/9 - 9/13

School Has Begun!

Welcome Back to school!  We have been having a wonderful time getting to know each other and our new classroom space!  This is the first year for Roots Preschool and things are going so great for us.  The first week we began by exploring the things that make each of us unique and special!  We made smoothies, read books, practiced our alphabet, reviewed our shapes, talked about our emotions, went on a nature walk, talked a little bit about Fall, checked out the garden and the new playground, dug for worms, sang songs, shared some snack, painted pictures, and played with our pet turtle Sid.  Here are some pictures to share with you...  to give you a little peek into our world...

Week 2- letter Aa

Apples and ants begin with "Aa"
This week was all about things that begin with the letter a.  We went on a walking field trip to my neighbors house.  There we saw chickens and picked apples from an apple tree.  We learned about ants.  Painted Apple pictures and even made our own apple juice!  What a yummy week for Fall!

Lacing....

We also spotted a Birdsnest high up in the Apple tree!!!

Circle time...

We saw an Awesome yellow and black spider on our walk.

My neighbors garden is well labeled and all of the plants have their own stake with the name of the plant on the sign.

We can't wait to see what next week will bring!   Hmmmmm...  what starts with a letter B???
